The Beach at Gav

For the first three years of the beach volleyball program, the team had no real place to call their own. They traveled 15 miles north to practice on two courts owned by a local church. For all of those three years the team would play all of their games on the road. 

 

Then as part of a two million dollar facilities upgrade, The Beach at Gav was created. A four court beach volleyball facility was installed on the south west portion of the athletic fields next to the soccer field, behind the softball facility. With views of the Santa Cruz Mountains to the West, and the Diablo Mountains to the East, the atmosphere of The Beach at Gav is matched by no other man made beach facility in the CCCAA. 

 

By no means is the facility completed. The courts will have complete wifi coverage, custom windscreens and with existing lighting, home night games are a possibility.
