Bio
Entering his fifth season of his current tenure at Gavilan College and his 16th season overall with the program, Coach Sanchez brings deep experience and continuity to the Rams baseball staff. He previously served as the program’s head assistant coach for 10 seasons, helping shape the team’s competitive identity and player‑development culture.
A former collegiate catcher at Hawaii Pacific University, Sanchez transitioned seamlessly into coaching, specializing in the technical and mental demands of the position. Before returning to Gavilan, he served as the catching and hitting coach at San Francisco State University and later as a graduate assistant at the University of San Francisco, gaining experience across multiple levels of collegiate baseball.
During his time with the Rams, he was part of the staff that guided Gavilan to the 2015 Coast Conference championship, one of the program’s standout achievements.
