Morgan Hill native and proud Alumni of Gavilan College. Neal has been coaching the Men’s Baseball team and teaching Kinesiology courses here at Gavilan since 2003. In 2015 was honored as the Coast Conference Coach of the Year, the same year he last won a conference title. After his playing career at Gavilan he received an athletic scholarship and completed his playing career at Portland State University where he received his Bachelors Degree in May of 1998. Neal served as Assistant Men’s Baseball Coach At Gavilan from 1998 to 2000, and as the Head Baseball Coach of the San Benito Haybalers from 2000 to 2003. While at San Benito his teams won two league championships and one team was a semi-finalist in the 2001 C.C.S. Tournament. In 2003 Neal returned to Gavilan as the Head Baseball Coach and completed his Masters Degree at Nova Southeastern University in Sports Management.
